What We Do

  • Peer Navigation: One-on-one and group-based peer support to help individuals overcome barriers to employment, housing, education, and wellness.

  • Workforce Stability and Retention:A support-focused approach that helps individuals address barriers that may interfere with maintaining employment, improving consistency, accountability, and long-term workplace success through guidance and community connection.

  • Community Engagement: Hosting events, workshops, and awareness campaigns to build bridges between reentry participants, employers, and the community.

  • Agriculture Workforce Development: Initiatives like Hope Through Horticulture that use hands-on learning and life skills training as pathways to healing and purpose.

The First 72 Initiative stabilizes returning citizens in the most dangerous hours after release by providing immediate peer support, essential resources, and warm hand-offs to the services that keep them alive, compliant, and moving forward.

Alexander Reentry Navigation (ARN)is a Christ-centered, peer-led organization in Taylorsville, North Carolina, committed to walking alongside people as they return to the community after incarceration. You do not have to ascribe to Christian faith. Drawing from lived experience, the team helps individuals navigate the complex realities of reentry with dignity, emotional intelligence, and hope.

ARN focuses on filling critical gaps in support without duplicating existing local services. By practicing trauma-informed care, emotional regulation skills, and healthy communication, the team equips participants to rebuild relationships, manage stress, and make grounded decisions while connecting them to community partners for housing, employment, transportation, and clinical care.

Guided by faith and a belief that no one should walk this journey alone, ARN centers the voices of people with justice involvement and honors their God-given worth. Through strategic partnerships with local agencies and religious institutions,, and employers, ARN works to create a coordinated, emotionally safe ecosystem where second chances become lasting change.
